Music Ministry

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. - Colossians 3:16

Worship in music at New Perth is reverent and joyful. We sing hymns, psalms, and some modern hymns as well. Many sing using the hymnbooks provided in our pews, while others (especially those with arms holding small children) look up at our non-intrusive screen overhead for the words. Our director of music, Margaret Ranke, leads our choir and also leads our congregation in moments of contemplation and reflection upon the Lord through excellent music selections.

At New Perth, we rejoice at music's ability to reveal and express truths about the very nature of God, and we aim for a level of musicianship that accords with our reverence for the Lord.
